Hi, I am new to the board. I'm Sara, located in Florida but visiting your lovely city of Toronto end of August.
I have a question, Should I get a special phone number for my trip? I am worried that it will be considered long distance if someone wishes to contact me since my area code is different. I could have it posted on my website for while I am there.
Thanks for any advice on this. I've never been there before but am sooo excited.
:) Sara

Hi Sara, a Local phone number will significantly improve the responce you can expect to have. You may want to consider advertising on a site like Escorts-Canada.com a few weeks before you come up to see everyone... this way you can take some pre-bookings.

Hi, thanks for your answer. Now I have to figure out how to get a Canada phone number before I visit, lol.
I will place an ad on the site you mentioned. I was thinking of only doing outcalls but since I don't know where anything is, I may have to do incalls.
I'm looking forward to my trip.

You can pick up a "Pay as you go" Phone pretty cheap now and I remember seeing cell phone renatals at the airports in Toronto a few years ago as well... maybe they still do that?

Hi hun, I called T Mobile which I already have but they said they can't give me a Canadian phone number to use. I know that their phone service does work in Canada. But it is expensive of course for the long distance and roaming.
I found a website where you can rent or buy a cell phone and add minutes.
Finally, I found the Rogers company website & may just get a phone through them and do the pay as you go feature.
I'm not sure what to do since I'll only be working 4 days while I am there but I think the Canadian area code would be best. I know it takes money to make money, lol. I hope I can activate it before my trip so I can try to book some calls before I go.
Thanks so much for the advice.
:) Sara

I am not sure if this would work but if your current cell phone uses a SIM CHIP you may be able to get a Rogers Pay as you go SIM CHIP for your current cell phone. This way you do not need to buy a phone... Your message about rogers reminded me of this. I quickly looked on ebay and found this CLICK HERE FOR LINK TO EBAY ITEM (http://cgi.ebay.ca/ROGERS-PAY-AS-YOU-GO-SIM-CARD-AS-LOW-AS-1-CENT-MIN_W0QQitemZ320011563036QQihZ011QQcategoryZ48501Q QssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem)
Best of luck.. I am sure if you put an ad online now with just a email that you would get some advanced bookings.
